BEFORE YOUR TAN - Skin preparation is the most important thing you can do to ensure that your tan looks as best as possible, leaving you glowing for longer.

• Exfoliate the day BEFORE the tan (not on the actual day), paying particular attention to elbows, knees, ankles and any problem dry areas. Either use and exfoliating product or an exfoliating glove. The more you exfoliate leading up to the tan the better so feel free to start anytime. Exfoliation helps to reveal a fresh new layer of smooth skin, helping your tan to last much longer. After exfoliating apply a good moisturiser, ideally an oil-free formula.

• Waxing (Including eyebrow wax and tinting) must be at least 48 hours prior to treatment. Shaving must be at least 24 hours before the treatment. This allows the pores time to fully close up, ensuring that your tan looks even, balanced and natural.

• Do NOT moisturise, use skin lotions, bodywash or deodorant on the day of your tan. (The only bodywash which is advised on the day is a PH Balanced/soap free brand - Sanex Zero is recommended)

• Remove make-up, lotions, moisturisers, perfume, oils, jewellery and deodorant before your treatment as often these products contain chemicals which the tan doesnt like. Therefore leaving you with an uneven or patchy finish due to these products acting as a barrier on the skin.

AFTER YOUR TAN - Maintaining your tan is vitally important if you want to make your tan last longer.

• Wear dark loose clothing made from cotton or jersey fabrics and flip-flops or loose fitting shoes whilst developing.

• Do not shower, bathe or fully wash your hands for at least 8/10 hours (the development time) Or 1 - 4 hours if you have had the Rapid solution.

• Do not exercise or swim during the development period and for at least 24 hours after the tan.

• Try not to touch your skin during the development time as this can potentially stain your hands.

• Always pat dry after showering and use a good oil-free moisturiser to prolong the life of your tan and to stay looking gorgeous. A Ph Balanced/Soap free bodywash is highly recommended to use to help prolong your tan.

• Remember – When you take a shower or a bath the first time you will see some colour wash off. Don’t worry. This is quite normal as it is only the colour guide that the spray tan therapists use when the tan is applied. Taking lots of showers or soaking in the bath can fade your tan quicker, keep your washing sessions as brief as possible.

• Very important - Keep on moisturising both morning and night - Keep your skin supple, the more you moisturise the longer your tan will last!

• Do not shave until at least 24 hours after your treatment.
